Legal should be your first choice if at all possible to support the creators. Anime staff are (in)famously underpaid and overworked, so anything you can do to support those who make the shows you love. If your country doesn’t have access or you can’t afford the fees for premium streaming, then at least don’t spend any $$ supporting pirate streamers like Kissanime, which has been asking for donations. Kissanime steals not just from anime staff, but also the fansubbers who create translations.
- Crunchyroll allows you to watch most of its library for free. Fan-friendly. As long as an episode has been out for a week or more, you don’t need to pay for access, unlike the misinformation given by another person here. If you do have the money to spend on a membership, please consider it as a thank you to the creative teams that make anime.
- Funimation, especially if you prefer dubs. Also a subscription service.
- Amazon Strike is justifiably reviled by many anime fans, because there is a double paywall paired with terrible, unpredictable service. Newer service so smaller library.
- Netflix. Nice if you already have it, because it doesn’t ask for extra money. Small library.
- HIDIVE. New or reimagined service. No experience with them. My main takeaway is it also has lots of dubbed shows.
- There are fansubbers who take on unlicensed shows and films that you can find via a major anime torrenting site. Google is your friend here, or you can ask fans offline.
